How we share on the AMR Register To obtain Venus’ AMR surveillance data for analysis, data requesters should use the AMR Register platform to submit a request. The de-identified data will then be made available to the researcher to download. Data for ongoing surveillance programs will be updated annually.
Programs Listed for Sharing AMR surveillance data available on the AMR Register:

  • Program 1 – Preserving Life of Existing Antibiotics (PLEA) Study – I (2011 to 2016)
  • Program 2 – Preserving Life of Existing Antibiotics (PLEA) Study – II (2018 to 2020)
  • Program 3 – Genetic Assessment and Surveillance of Antibiotic Resistance (GASAR) Study (2022 – ongoing)
Exceptions AMR surveillance data may not be provided in certain situations, including but not limited to:

  • Privacy and confidentiality of participants cannot be protected (data cannot be fully de-identified in such a way as to guarantee the anonymity of the research participants);
  • Where regulatory, legal, contractual or other limitations exist;
  • Limitations in data format and cannot be properly converted to electronic format;
  • Contributors have specifically requested that their contributed data is not shared
What information will be provided Where available, the following data and information is provided for each dataset:

  • Raw dataset. This is the dataset containing the de-identified isolate level data collected during the study. The dataset can be downloaded.
  • Program description. Information about how the data were collected are provided on the program pages.
  • Protocol. A description of the study objectives and methods.
  • Links to Publications. Links to journal publications based on the data collected are provided on the program pages.
Data Request Review Process Researchers can request access to our datasets by completing a data request form on the AMR register. The datasets can be downloaded.

Pursuant to the US DOJ Final Rule – Preventing Access to Americans’ Bulk Sensitive Personal Data and United States Government-Related Data by Countries of Concern (28 CRF Part 202)

  • Requests from Countries of Concern or Covered Persons for accessing that include sensitive personal data of US persons will have that data removed before sharing.
